Darth Cobra, I took at Cal Poly Pomona University. Cal Poly Pomona, in conjunction with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, constructed a float for the parade every year.
The floats are different every year, and most of them are spectacularly beautiful. Some have amazing features and mechanical and electronic entertainment. If you really want to know something about a Floating Rose Parade, you must see it up close. They are really amazing and wonderful buildings.
Some are built and decorated by professional associations and serves as advertising for the company to pay for it. Some of them are based in part on volunteers, and it is amazing the work that continues to look at the last minute, need to keep the flowers and leaves used in the construction of the scattering property. (The rules state that each surface to rise to the public, not a particular security or mechanical, must be covered by a fabric "of course" - Flowers are not used, visible, releases seeds, spices sometimes used, the fruit used can be. None of theFabrics are dyed or artificially colored.
